Activities for Children in Andorra

Arcade games

Going on a skiing holiday with little ones is very exciting, and of course, it’s only natural that you would want your children to develop the same passion for the mountains and snow-sports that you have. However, skiing every day can be mentally and physically demanding, and can become tiring for even the fittest of adults – let alone young children. So it’s a great idea to mix your holiday up a little and spend some time away from the slopes to relax, recover and have some fun!

With half-term fast-approaching, we have put together a guide on family facilities available in Andorra so you can be well-prepared and head to the places where you know your kids will love.  Prices correct at time of publishing (Feb 2018).

Soft play areas and playgrounds in Soldeu

There’s a small soft play area just next to the bar in Hotel Himalaia and although this is intended primarily for the use of guests, your children are able to enjoy the soft-play area providing you buy food or drink from the bar. If you’re willing to brave the cold and snow, then there’s also a small outdoor play park in Soldeu village, just next to the Fat Alberts Bar & Restaurant.

Palau de Gel Centre, Canillo

Just a short bus journey or drive from Soldeu and El Tarter is the Palau de Gel Centre in Canillo. The Centre has a heated swimming pool and fitness centre, but most exciting of all – it is home to Andorra’s only ice rink! You can get your skates on and enjoy gliding around the 1800 metres-squared Olympic ice rink, or if you and your children are feeling adventurous then you can even go go-karting on ice!
