Where to ski in Andorra
Three ski areas, 308km of pistes — and a resort town to suit every kind of ski holiday.
Andorra packs a remarkable amount of skiing into a small country. Its slopes are split across three ski areas — Grandvalira, Pal-Arinsal and Ordino-Arcalís — served by a string of resort towns, each with its own distinct atmosphere and appealing to different types of clientele.
Arinsal is great for families, Soldeu suits those looking for a more upmarket experience, and Pas de la Casa is the pick for large groups and nightlife. Use this page to find the ski area and resort that fit your trip — then dive into our dedicated guides for each one.

Ski resorts

Ski Area
The largest ski area in the Pyrenees, Grandvalira links seven sectors — Pas de la Casa, Grau Roig, Peretol, Soldeu, El Tarter, Canillo and Encamp — into one vast, fully connected circuit. With 215km of pistes, modern lifts and terrain from gentle beginner zones to the World Cup Avet run, it's the reason most people come to Andorra.
Five resort towns sit along the Grandvalira ski area — pick your base and ski the whole circuit.

Ski Area
Pal-Arinsal pairs two linked sectors on the western side of Andorra — the tree-lined slopes of Pal and the wide, sheltered bowl above Arinsal, joined by cable car. Friendly, compact and easy to navigate, it's the go-to choice for families and beginners, with a long-standing British ski school presence.
Two towns serve the Pal-Arinsal ski area — one at each sector.

Ski Area
Tucked into the far north of the country, Ordino-Arcalís is Andorra's wild card — a high, snow-sure bowl famous for its off-piste and freeride terrain, and a regular stop on the Freeride World Tour. There are no hotels at the ski area itself, so it's skied as a day trip rather than used as a base.
No resorts here — and that's the point. Ordino-Arcalís has no accommodation at the ski area, but it's included with both the Grandvalira lift pass and the Nord Pass, so you can ski it as a day trip from any resort in Andorra.
