After a period of much uncertainty it has been announced today that the Grandvalira brand and ski area will continue indefinitely, which is fantastic news for visitors to Andorra.  Not only that, but the area covered by the Grandvalira lift pass is expanding to also cover Arcalis.  This means the linked ski area of Grandvalira will still be 210km but with the addition of Arcalis it becomes 240km of slopes covered by the pass.

The newly expanded ski area say they have ambitious investment plans for both the Grandvalira and Ordino-Arcalís brands which will include expanding the ski area, improving the restaurant facilities, car parks and other services as well as expanding the capacity of skiers.
