If you’re thinking about booking a ski holiday in Andorra, one of the most helpful thing is hearing from someone who has actually been.

As part of our Summer Competition and London Ski Show giveaway, two of our winners enjoyed a ski holiday with Andorra Resorts and here are their honest comments and review.

Is Andorra good for a ski holiday?

Yes! Especially for beginners and early intermediate skiers.

From this trip, it was clear to the customers that resorts like Arinsal and Pal are:

  • Easy to navigate
  • Friendly and relaxed
  • Ideal for learning and building confidence

The resort itself was described as quiet but very pleasant in early March, with:

  • A nice hotel – staying at the Xalet Verdu
  • Good food around the resort- lots of options. With Cisco’s bar a favourite for apres.
  • Friendly Andorra Resorts staff
  • Strong service at the ski hire shop

These are exactly the things that make a first ski holiday feel smooth and stress-free.

What is Pal / Arinsal like for skiing?

Pal Arinsal is a smaller ski area, which makes it:

  • Perfect for beginners
  • Easy to get around
  • Less overwhelming than larger resorts

However, for intermediate and advanced skiers, it can feel limited over a full week. Luckily other ski areas are *included in the Lift Pass- meaning other ski resorts to explore are just a bus ride away!

*1 day ski pass valid for the Pal Arinsal ski resort
*Ski passes for 2 consecutive days or more, valid for free skiing and indistinctly in Pal Arinsal and Ordino Arcalís
*Ski passes from 4 consecutive days include 1 ski day in Grandvalira.

Exploring Grandvalira: More Space, More Variety:

During the trip, one of our winners spent 3 days in Grandvalira, Andorra’s largest ski area, with well know resorts such as Soldeu, Pas de la Casa and El Tarter

Their experience:

  • Much bigger ski area
  • Wide choice of pistes
  • Longer runs that stayed in good condition
  • More freedom for intermediate and advanced skiers

Final verdict: Should you book a ski holiday in Andorra?

YES! Our winners said:

Andorra is ideal if you:

  • Are a beginner or early intermediate
  • Want a relaxed, friendly ski holiday
  • Prefer a quieter resort with good service

For the best experience:

  • Best overall → combine all ski areas
