Andorra in Summer
Mountain biking at one of the world's top-rated bike parks — plus road climbs that feature in the Tour de France.
Summer turns the mountains of Andorra into a biker's paradise. Pal-Arinsal hosted the 2015 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships and has a reputation for world-class facilities. The lifts run in summer, so you and your bike ride up and only have to enjoy the way down. Bring your own or rent on arrival.

Bike park
Host of the 2015 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships, Pal-Arinsal (formerly Vallnord) packs 29 circuits across all difficulty levels. Three lifts operate during summer: the La Massana gondola (1,300m → 1,950m at Pal La Caubella), then two detachable chairlifts (La Serra II and El Cubil) — El Cubil tops out at 2,350m, the highest point in the park.

Don't let the World Cup heritage put you off — four of the circuits are graded green for beginners, and you can join the bike school. Group or private lessons, with or without equipment included, so you can pick what suits you. Same flexibility as the ski school in winter.
The roads climbing to Pas de la Casa, Arcalís and Ordino regularly feature in the Tour de France and the Vuelta a España. Same hairpins and gradients as the pros — without the crowds. One of the most accessible Pyrenean playgrounds going.
