Your instructor, just for you

Private ski & snowboard lessons in Andorra.

The quickest way to progress — one-to-one attention, tailored entirely to your ability and goals.

A private instructor can be booked from just one person up to a maximum of six, in any of Andorra's main resorts. The focused attention lets you concentrate on specific elements of your technique, with sessions arranged around the times that suit you. Adaptive lessons are available in both Grandvalira and Pal-Arinsal for skiers with additional needs.

So that you get the most benefit from a private instructor, it is not recommended that adults and children share the same lesson — adults and children have different learning styles and progress at different speeds. We suggest separate instructors. If you'd still rather share, that's possible, just make it clear when you send your enquiry.

Choose your tuition

Private vs group lessons.

The personalised attention from a private instructor lets you progress much quicker than within a group — in as little as two hours you can make marked improvements. The other benefit is flexibility: you choose the days and times that suit you, pending availability, rather than fitting into a fixed schedule.

Group lessons remain the most popular option for visitors and are still a fantastic way to learn. Many people prefer the social element and the camaraderie that comes with it; they're also far more affordable, making them the most economical way to benefit from expert tuition.

If you're holidaying as a group it can be worth combining the two: book a private instructor to look after your group exclusively for the duration (up to a maximum of six people), so you get to ski with your friends and have an instructor dedicated to your group's needs.

Ability Levels

Choosing the right ski level.

Honest self-assessment before you book can make a huge difference to your time on the slopes.

These are the four standard ability levels used across Andorra's ski schools. Don't worry if you're not 100% sure — instructors will tailor the lesson to where you actually are.

Beginners

Never skied or snowboarded before

Level 1

(Green/Blue): Able to turn right & left and use a drag lift

Level 2

(Blue/Red): Confident on all blue runs

Level 3

(Red/Black): Able to ski or board red runs with confidence and control
