The circus is coming to town but not quite as you would expect. The world-renowned extravaganza Cirque de Soleil is returning to Andorra with a new exclusive show called Rebel.
Now on its 7th visit to the capital, with a new show every visit, this year’s story follows a young, passionate, impulsive and intense young man from dusk until dawn, as he experiences many surprising encounters in a very urban atmosphere. The theme is love songs, and in particular love songs written and performed by the many great male pop stars from around the world. Whenever the lead character finds himself falling in love, his equally over-the-top and impulsive side kick commemorates each new love with a fresh tattoo. The females in the show come in the form of muses that inspire the magical songs in his musical universe.
It’s running from June 29th through until July 28th, 2019 (running nightly apart from Sunday/Monday) with the 60-minute show starting at 22:00. What’s even better you can see it for free! Seated tickets start from €20, but standing tickets are completely free of charge (limited tickets available, pre-booking essential). There’s a dedicated restaurant area and warm-up entertainment that mingle with the crowd before the main event starts at ten.
Cirque de Soleil started in 1984 with just 20 street performance and has now grown to a company with 5,000 employees, including over 1,300 artists coming from more than 50 different countries. 100 million people have seen one of their performances, all over 3000 cities in six different continents! In 2014, they presented 18 unique productions around the world.
