Costa Rodona Restaurant Pas
Ski Resorts Arinsal Arcalis Soldeu El Tarter Pas de la Casa Grandvalira Vallnord

Grandvalira Pas de la Casa Ski Resort

The lively resort of Pas de la Casa (known locally as Pas) is found in the parish of Encamp and only a few hundred yards from the border with France. Pas sits at an altitude of 2050m and forms part of the Grandvalira ski area, with the highest lift being at 2640m Grandvalira - Pas de la Casa is the highest resort in the Pyrenees. Due to its excellent high-altitude location, plus significant investment in snow making right across the Grandvalira ski area, Pas de la Casa benefits from an excellent snow record as well as plenty of sunny days and blue skies.

Andorra is duty free so a great place to go shopping, the Pas de la Casa ski resort has a vast number of shops both large and small. You will find many shops specialising in electrical goods, alcohol, tobacco and perfume, as well as winter sports clothing and equipment of course!

You will find that the slopes of Grandvalira – Pas de la Casa cater well for all levels; intermediates will find plenty of challenging red runs or easy cruising blues, and beginners have a special area with more gentle slopes, complimented by a ski school with an excellent reputation and a good number of English speaking instructors. Expert skiers and snowboarders will enjoy exploring the full 210km of the Grandvalira ski area, where weather permitting there are plenty of opportunities both on and off piste as well as moguls and freestyle skiing to be found. Snowboarding is particularly popular in the Pas de la Casa ski resort, especially amongst the younger crowd that holiday in Pas each year, many heading for the snow park and trying out the half pipe found on the Grau Roig side of the mountain.

Off the mountain, Pas de la Casa is well known for its upbeat après ski vibe and youth orientated nightlife. There are a great choice of bars, restaurants and nightclubs in Pas and if partying into the night is your thing then you won’t be disappointed. Be warned though, that if you fall for the temptations on offer in Pas you could end up foregoing a day on the mountain recovering from the night before, so our advice would be to take it easy so that you can enjoy the excellent skiing and snowboarding on offer.

While visiting the ski resort, you can take advantage of our Pas de la Casa ski hire. Here you can rent all of your essential ski equipment in one place and even pick them up the afternoon before your rental start to make your time on the slopes much more efficient!
