Covid-19 Updates & Cancellation Policy

We look forward to welcoming you to Andorra for your ski holidays this winter.  Here is the latest news for Covid-19 in Andorra including entry requirements and restrictions in resort.

Andorra Ski Season Dates

  • Vallnord
    • 3rd December 2021 until 18th April 2022
  • Grandvalira
    • 3rd December 2021 until 18th April 2022

Dates subject to weather conditions and Covid situation.

As we have more updates we'll be posting them on this page, so you will have regular updates with new information, however we also want to set out our policy when it comes to bookings and cancellations.

Book With Peace of Mind - Winter 2021-22

  • Book with Andorra Resorts and you can cancel free of charge for any reason up to seven days before your booking start date*.
  • Even within seven days, if you cannot travel due to Covid-19, eg. a positive test or a local lockdown, we will allow you to cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the start date (medical certificate or official confirmation will be required).  In this case you would need to inform us as soon as possible that you are unable to travel.
  • If the resort you are visiting is closed due to Covid-19 we will give you a full refund by the same method of payment within 14 days, just like we did in March 2020.
  • Unfortunately during the coming months changes may need to be made to services, timetables, and options available.  In the case of major changes or the removal of a service you will have the option to cancel and have a refund, however there will be no further obligation for compensation.
  • * Accommodation bookings may have different free cancellation terms/periods, which will be advised at the time of booking.

Health & Safety

  • We have been and will continue to be in dialogue with all of our service providers to ensure they are following local regulations and best practice guidelines to make your holiday experience as safe as possible.
  • When visiting our office please ensure only one member of your party comes to collect lift passes/lesson tickets, that you follow the markings, keep your distance, and follow the one-way route out of the building.
  • Some suppliers will have very specific health & safety requirements, such as the wearing of a face mask on airport transfers.  It is a condition of booking that you comply with any given instructions, and failure to comply may result in the refusal of service, in which case the supplier would not issue a refund.
Make sure you've packed a spare face mask in your hand luggage, just in case you need a replacement.
Please note that this is a guide for basic information only - this can change at any time, and for the latest information and restrictions please refer directly to the governments of Andorra, Spain, France, and your home country.

You can check the EU's risk level of your home country here >>

All info subject to change - please check for yourself with official government sources.

Please note, the below updates are from 1st December 2021 - we will continue to update this section during the ski season, but please check official government advice for the latest restrictions.

Updates from Andorra

Access to Andorra
  • All tourists over 12 years of age entering Andorra must have one of the following certificates:
    • A vaccination certificate confirming that the holder has received the full COVID-19 vaccination dosage, or
    • A diagnostic certificate indicating a negative SARS-CoV-2 test result in the 72 hours before arriving in the Principality of Andorra, or a certificate indicating a negative rapid-antigen test result in the 48 hours before arriving at the accommodation, or
    • A recovery certificate certifying that the holder has recovered from COVID-19.
  • The certificate must be the original document, written in Catalan, Spanish, French or English, in printed or digital format, and must be shown when requested by the authorities.
  • For visitors from outside the European Union or Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, the United Kingdom, San Marino, Switzerland and the Vatican City staying in a tourist establishment for 3 days or more, aside from keeping this documentation with them, they must provide a copy for the establishment where they are staying.
Testing Before Leaving Andorra (Going Home)
  • Your home country may require you to have a Covid test before returning home.
  • Andorra has excellent facilities for Covid testing, because this has played a central role in how Andorra has managed the pandemic.
  • There are currently ongoing discussions between the Government of Andorra and the ski stations to work out the best way to offer testing to the increased numbers of tourists anticipated this winter.
  • Once the plan for testing has been finalised we will provide updates here.
Arriving Via Spain
  • All tourists aged 12 years and upwards arriving into Spain must have one of the following:
    • Proof of being fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to arrival in Spain, or
    • Documentation certifying a negative Covid test result in the 72 hours before arriving, which can be PCR, TMA, LAMP or NEAR (see next point).
  • Visitors from the UK aged 12 years and upwards must be fully vaccinated, ie. the pre-arrival test is no longer an option for UK visitors.
  • Documents can be in either English, Spanish, French or German and in paper or electronic format. All documents must specify the name and surname of the passenger.
  • You must also complete a health declaration form online here within 48 hours before your flight.  Once submitted you will receive a QR code to print or on their app, which you must have with you on arrival at the airport.
Arriving Via France
  • Currently you can only enter France from the UK for holidays if you are fully vaccinated.
  • If you are fully vaccinated, you must have the following:
    • A completed ‘sworn statement’ (déclaration sur l’honneur) form self-certifying they are not suffering from symptoms associated with coronavirus and have not been in contact with confirmed cases in the preceding fortnight. This can be found on the French government’s website, and
    • Proof of vaccination status.
  • The French Government recognises the following vaccines: Pfizer, Moderna, Oxford/AstraZeneca, and Johnson & Johnson (the vaccines recognised by the European Medical Agency). “Fully vaccinated” is defined by the completion of a vaccination schedule, specifically:
    • 1 week after the second dose of Pfizer, Moderna, Oxford/AstraZeneca.
    • 4 weeks after the single and only dose of Johnson & Johnson.
    • 1 week after the single dose of any of the above vaccines if you have previously tested positive for COVID-19.
  • Children aged 12 years old or over who are not fully vaccinated and travelling with a fully vaccinated adult are required to present a negative test result (PCR or antigen). However, they do not need to provide an essential reason for travel, nor do they need to self-isolate on arrival.

Please note, the following is a guide only and can be updated during the season without notice.

Enjoy Your Holiday!

Rest assured that everyone involved in the mountain operations and holiday services, such as lift operators, ski schools, transport providers, hotels, bars & restaurants, are trying their best to make sure the ski resorts are ready for your arrival, and to make them as safe as they can be.

Obviously there are risks like there are at home, so we need your help too to take care like you would at home, to keep distanced where necessary, to wash and/or sanitise your hands regularly, and to isolate yourself from others if you have any of the symptoms of Covid-19.

Thank you for your understanding and for your continued support, and we hope you enjoy your holiday!
