This week saw the countdown hit less than 100 days until the mountain opens, so to say we’re a little excited is maybe an understatement! Hitting the mountains on two wheels might sound like a lot of hard work, but when you realise that the ski lifts take you to the top so all you have to do is cycle downhill then the proposition becomes a whole lot more exciting! Adrenaline junkies should know that Vallnord has hosted World Cup and World Championship downhill events, so fantastic courses to ride, but there are also gentle introductions to this addictive sport, in both Vallnord and Grandvalira. This winter sees a change to the pick-up point for airport transfers from Barcelona to Andorra if you’re flying in to terminal two. Pretty much all flights at T2 arrive into T2B, so once you arrive come outside at terminal 2B, turn right, and head to the bus stop just beyond the “Technical Block” and the “PR2” meeting point.
