After spending numerous winters living in Andorra, I’m now based at the Andorra Resorts office in Cardiff, however at the end of November I needed to make a trip out to Andorra to spend the week visiting our resort staff and partners, and spend the week working from our office in Arinsal. We think it would be clear to anyone who’s had interaction with us that we absolutely love Andorra – it’s a ‘home away from home’ for us that not only offers some varied and fantastic skiing opportunities but also offers great value for money; a welcoming, friendly atmosphere; a great variety of accommodation and plenty of bars and restaurants to entertain yourself after your day on the mountain has finished… but that’s just our opinion (and we admit be may be a tiny bit biased).

The new year is already in full flow and we can’t believe where the time has gone! Our team have been living in our resorts since the end of November so there’s been plenty of time to settle in and find their way around their beautiful new homes.

As we enter the last few days of 2019 it’s a great time to reflect on all the fantastic things that have happened over the last 10 years. On Monday 22nd April we’ll be hitting the slopes for the last time this season. After that, we’ll sadly have a long, agonising wait until Grandvalira reopens in December. Here is a round up of the 2018/19 season and all the fantastic events that took place.
Skiing is a beautiful sport, suitable for everyone. Its always fun to get yourself on the mountain and be surrounded by nature whether you are with your family, with friends or even by yourself. However, as an extreme sport, it entails some risk as well, that’s why it is very important to be careful at all times and respect the other skiers on the mountain. There are 10 golden rules that we must all know, and above all respect so that a snow day can be both safe and fun!
No matter what level you’re at, taking skiing or snowboarding lessons will always be a valuable experience. Whether you’re a first-time skier/snowboarder or an experienced rider with many years of winter holidays under your belt, there’s always new skills to learned and many ways to improve. (more…)
