Nowadays we are fully connected and there is hardly a second that we are separated from our phones, not even when sleeping. Therefore, when we head to the mountain, apart from taking our goggles, gloves and helmet, there is a must, the mobile phone! It could be uncomfortable, but everyone is skiing with their phone in their pocket, either for security reasons, to contact friends or just to take a snowy selfie. Technology is a major part of our lives, but without a doubt, the mobile is the winner, that’s why apps have been gaining importance day by day (supposedly) making life easier.
If you are going on a ski holiday this season, these are the apps you should have on your phone to help you enjoy the snow to the fullest!
We know that you are already counting down the days to get to the slopes. However, we must be aware that skiing is a very active sport, and that means it requires physical fitness. That’s why we recommend you starting NOW your pre-season training if you want to get the most out of your ski holiday, avoiding unnecessary injuries and pains.
As in any sport, the physical condition is extremely important for skiing, because even if you have a perfect technique it won’t do you any good if your body is not prepared to execute it. Definitely, the legs are the part of the body that works the hardest, but we must not forget the importance of arms, abdomen and back, which makes skiing one of the most complete sports. Could you imagine skiing and flying at the same time? It has a name: Speed Riding
Skiing is already a sport full of adrenaline and excitement, but what if you could fly while skiing? The Andorra Resorts team had the opportunity to practice Speed Riding in Arcalís, a ski resort of Vallnord, and the experience was incredible: Only suitable for the most daring!
On January 11th we tried the latest addition that Vallnord has added to its list of activities: A night walk (in snowshoes) and a yoga class on the slopes of Pal followed by an organic meal. The experience was incredible. (more…)
